This week, Lincolnshire Live shared heartfelt tributes for five individuals who have recently passed away, reminding us of the deep connections within our community. Each notice serves as a testament to the love and memories shared with those who have left us.
Among those remembered was Hilary Kirk, who passed away peacefully at Grantham Hospital on March 24 at the age of 89. Hilary, a much-loved wife of Jim and a cherished Mum and Granny, will be celebrated at a funeral service on April 20 at Lincoln Crematorium. Family and friends are invited to send flowers or make donations to Parkinson's UK in her memory.
Another poignant tribute was for George Edward (Mick) Grice, who is fondly remembered by his son Dave, daughter-in-law Ann, and grandchildren Dan, Matt, and Lauren. Mick, formerly of North Hykeham, passed away, and his funeral service is scheduled for April 22 at Lincoln Crematorium. Family flowers are requested, with donations going to The Alzheimer's Society.
Colin Stafford, aged 82, also passed away peacefully at home on March 23. A beloved husband to Chris, Colin's funeral will take place on April 27 at Grantham Crematorium. His family requests no flowers, but invites donations to St Barnabas Hospice.
Sydney David Vines, known as Syd, died at the age of 92 at the Georgians Care Home on March 25. A much-loved uncle, Syd’s funeral service is set for April 27 at Boston Crematorium. Family flowers are requested, with donations to be shared between the Georgians Care Home Residents Fund and Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.
Lastly, Larraine Christine Wiles, known as Christine, passed away on March 16 at Lincoln County Hospital, surrounded by her family. Christine was deeply loved by her husband John, her daughter Tracey, and many others. A service to celebrate her life will be held on April 15 at All Saints Parish Church in Gainsborough, followed by a committal at Lea Fields Crematorium. Family flowers are requested, with donations in lieu being welcomed.
