Over the past year, Greater Lincolnshire's business community has showcased remarkable resilience, innovation, and ambition, as highlighted by Business Lincolnshire News. From recovering from unforeseen challenges to embracing new technologies and transforming creative hobbies into successful enterprises, the region is bustling with stories of determination and growth.
One standout success is Little Crafters Boxes, an eco-friendly STEM and craft education business based in Sleaford. After facing devastating flooding in 2024 that destroyed stock and halted operations, founder Radha Borthayre turned this crisis into an opportunity for strategic growth. With support from Business Lincolnshire, including Manufacturing Growth Sprint workshops and personalised guidance, the business gained clarity on improving processes and planning for long-term growth. Today, Little Crafters Boxes is set to open one of Lincolnshire’s first remote exam centres for home-educated children, paving the way for more inclusive learning opportunities across the county.
Another inspiring story comes from 23 Bakehouse LTD, an independent bakery renowned for its indulgent brownies and creative bakes. After moving into a dedicated unit to expand production, the bakery faced the challenge of needing specialist equipment to advance further. A grant from Business Lincolnshire enabled them to invest in a crucial chiller cake unit, which not only improved workflow but also allowed them to expand their chilled product range. With the new capacity and a growing demand for postal delivery, 23 Bakehouse LTD is now focused on scaling sustainably, innovating their menu, and enhancing brand visibility across the UK.
Additionally, Soulstice Healing, a spiritual and wellness centre launched in April 2025, illustrates the impact of start-up support. Offering intuitive readings, workshops, and holistic therapies, they needed early-stage financial assistance to create a professional healing space. A grant from Business Lincolnshire helped them complete their studio and invest in essential equipment and branded materials. This funding has enriched the client experience and positioned the business for future service expansion, including sound therapy and aura reading.
These success stories are just a glimpse of the innovation flourishing throughout Greater Lincolnshire. With Business Lincolnshire's support, local businesses can gain confidence through tailored guidance, embrace technology for growth, and turn obstacles into opportunities.
As we look ahead to 2026-27, the excitement continues to build for what the future holds for our local entrepreneurs and their contributions to the community.
