On the show this week, we welcome a bona fide legend - with 307 appearances for the Imps and 40 goals, Roger Holmes spanned two distinct eras; he played under Bill Anderson and alongside Andy Graver and was at the club when Dave Smith signed, and the embryonic 1976 team were being put together. He spent 12 years as a player with City and is a rare breed of one-club player. Even rarer was his feat of playing in three different divisions with City, all in the Football League. He was voted 36th in the 2007 poll looking for the club's best-ever players, and in 2020 he reached 41st in our top 100 players of a generation poll. We're honoured to have him talking about his career here on the podcast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
